Launch checklist

Digital product launch checklist: what actually needs to be ready

A launch is a coordinated test of an offer, message, delivery path, and acquisition channel. This checklist focuses on what must work—not on manufacturing hype.

Before launch: product and offer

  • Buyer and painful/valuable job are explicit.
  • Promise matches what the product can actually deliver.
  • Scope, format, access period, and support are clear.
  • Price and refund/cancellation terms are visible.
  • Core product path has been tested end-to-end.

Before launch: checkout and delivery

  • Payment works in the currencies and regions you intend to sell.
  • Confirmation page and email tell the buyer what happens next.
  • Access/delivery works on mobile and desktop.
  • Tax, invoice, privacy, and terms requirements are handled for your business context.
  • A support contact path is visible.

Before launch: message

  • Sales page states who it is for and not for.
  • Problem and outcome use language the buyer recognizes.
  • Proof is specific and not exaggerated.
  • Common objections are addressed.
  • Primary CTA is obvious and repeated at natural decision points.

Before launch: measurement

Define what you need to learn. Track visits, CTA clicks, checkout starts, purchases, refund requests, source, and major objections where possible. Avoid collecting data you do not need.

During launch

  • Watch for broken checkout or access paths first.
  • Capture recurring questions and objections.
  • Do not rewrite the entire offer from one negative comment.
  • Notice which traffic sources send buyers rather than just clicks.
  • Answer support quickly enough to protect trust.

After launch

Compare evidence with your original assumptions. Which buyer segment converted? Which promise attracted attention? Where did people hesitate? What did buyers actually use first? Decide whether to improve Demand, Offer, Message, product delivery, or acquisition—not everything at once.
