Research transparency

144Creator research methodology & publication policy

This page defines the rules for turning privacy-conscious tool observations into future public research without overstating what the data can prove.

1. What counts as an observation

A completed tool calculation or diagnostic may produce one aggregate observation. Because 144Creator intentionally does not assign a persistent analytics user identifier on the public site, repeated runs may come from the same person. Research must therefore describe counts as tool observations or completed runs, not unique creators or unique people.

2. What the analytics layer may record

For research-eligible tools, the first-party event layer may record the tool name, result band, categorical result labels, non-free-text numeric scores or assumptions, page path, referral hostname, and Cloudflare country code. These fields support aggregate product and research analysis.

The custom analytics event intentionally does not include email address, name, free-text product idea, free-text validation plan, or report contents. Newsletter email is sent separately to Brevo only after explicit signup consent.

3. Publication thresholds

200+completed observations required before a tool is eligible for its first public aggregate snapshot
30+observations required for any subgroup that is published separately
0user-level public records, email addresses, or free-text ideas published

These are editorial/privacy thresholds chosen by 144Creator. They do not make a self-selected sample statistically representative of all creators.

4. What every future snapshot must disclose

  • Collection start and end dates.
  • Tool and scoring-model version.
  • Total completed observations included and excluded.
  • Any filtering or subgroup definition.
  • Whether repeated runs from the same person can exist.
  • Important acquisition or audience biases.
  • The exact metric definition, denominator, and calculation.

5. No silent model drift

If a calculator or score changes materially, its version changes. Research should not mix materially different scoring models into one trend line unless the values are explicitly normalized and that transformation is documented.

6. Privacy and small cells

Small segments are suppressed from public reporting. Country, source, result combinations, or other slices below the publication threshold should be merged into a broader group or omitted. A research page should never make it easy to infer one visitor's activity.

7. Interpretation

144Creator visitors are self-selected and may differ from the overall creator market. Tool observations show how visitors who chose to use a specific 144Creator tool answered or modeled a decision; they do not automatically establish market prevalence, causal relationships, or expected business results.

8. Corrections

If a published snapshot contains a material calculation, labeling, or methodology error, the page should state the correction and date. Old downloadable data files should be versioned rather than silently replaced when the correction changes values.
